uttarakhand mountain fee: Indian mountaineers can now track Uttarakhand peaks for free

The Uttarakhand's tourism department has waived fees previously imposed on Indian mountaineers to boost adventure tourism. For mountaineers up to 7,000m, fees have been removed for Indians, while foreign nationals will continue to pay Rs 20,000. Mountaineers above 7,001 m will no longer have to pay a Rs 6,000 fee for Indian nationals, with foreign nationals paying Rs 40,000.
