The Hato Petera College site on Auckland’s North shore is being repurposed to fully utilise the site, and provide services that align with the “historical purpose of education”.
Taonga from the Diocese of Auckland’s archives have been returned to the site of the former Hato Pētera College in Northcote, which is where these treasured items belong.
The government has put the funds towards upgrading the country's last four remaining Māori boarding schools.
