facility could increase the militarization of police. we get now to atlanta. nick valencia with more this morning. good morning. police say they detained 35 people. what else do you no he this morning? that s right. police are calling this a coordinated attack and occurred during what protesters were promoting. a week of protests and festivities with the goal of stopping this facility. police and fire training facility. it would be the biggest of its kind if it s completed. and on sunday, police say 35 people were taken into custody after throwing fireworks, lornlg racks and bricks and molotov cocktails at police. no officers were injured. they did say some protesters suffered sminor injuries. listen to the police chief at a press conference late last night characterize it saying this wasn t about the protests of a propose wi proposed police and fire training facility. this is about anarchy. actions such as this will not be tolerated. when you attack law enforcement ....

kidnapped in mexico. look at the video. you can see a man with a gun as people are being loaded into the back of this pickup truck. you also see a second man in a black shirt. you can see him in the video. he appears to be pulling the people into the bed of that truck. now the fbi says unidentified gunmen abducted the victims friday, shortly after they drove into the mexican border town southeast of mcallen, texas. cnn s kylie atwood joins us live from the state department. mexican authorities are expected to give an update any minute now. what are you hearing from u.s. officials, though? reporter: as you guys were saying, this happened on friday in northeast mexico. it s four americans who were kidnapped and assaulted in this area. now, according to one u.s. official, this was a case of mistaken identity. the folks that attacked them didn t know who they were, presumably, possibly didn t know that they were americans. but according to that u.s. official, they were ....
You are taking a look at that. that cabin filled with all of this smoke. according to the airline, all of this happened right after takeoff when that aircraft hit a number of birds. one of the birds appeared to have hit the engine, which caused it to catch on fire. the other bird apparently hit the nose of that aircraft. so the decision, of course, was made to bring the airplane back to havana s international airport. once it was on the ground, all the passengers were able to get off safely. a number of them boarded flights earlier today and arrived at ft. lauderdale hollywood international airport late this morning. you can see there, a lot of them hugging their family members. they all describe just these heart breaking moments on board that aircraft. here is just what one passenger told us. there was a big boom. and we said, what happened? and the smoke started coming into the cabin, and they just said stay in your seats. ....
