It’s been a painful few months for families of Hazel Trembath Elementary students since the Port Coquitlam school burned to the ground in a suspicious fire in mid-October. Now, there’s a push to ensure the school is actually rebuilt.
While many great options could be considered, an excellent one is to turn the Hazel Trembath Elementary School site back into available green space for all residents to enjoy, the letter writer states.
Hazel Trembath Elementary was destroyed on Oct. 14 in a suspicious fire whose cause is still under investigation. More than 250 students are now at the Winslow Centre in Coquitlam.
