The Securities and Exchange Commission asked Coinbase to delist virtually all its crypto assets, CEO Brian Armstrong told the Financial Times.
The regulator reportedly wanted Coinbase to cease trading all cryptocurrencies except Bitcoin prior to its legal action against the exchange.
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) had asked Coinbase to stop trading in all cryptocurrencies except bitcoin before suing the cryptocurrency platform in June, the Financial Times reported on Monday, citing CEO Brian Armstrong.
