Officers put out an appeal to find him on April 23 in relation to a shooting at Auckland upmarket Sofitel hotel on April 15. The incident is believed to have been gang related, with witnesses describing hearing shots fired and armed police attending the scene. The shooting resulted in a city-wide response, leaving an east Auckland street and a street in Ōrākei cordoned off shortly after the incident. No injures were reported.
