A spokeswoman said investigators believed the firebombing was linked to tensions between the Mongols and Head Hunters.

Northside Powersports was hit by an arson attack at Easter Weekend. Police are still hunting for the culprits. The charred husk of the car which did catch alight can be seen around the side of the premises.
Detectives also continue to investigate two shootings linked to the conflict.
A week after the firebombing, the Marua Rd clubrooms of the Head Hunters in suburban Auckland were sprayed with about 30 bullets from what was believed to be a military-style semi-automatic rifle.
The following Thursday, April 15, the two gangs were involved in a shooting in the lobby of the Sofitel, a five-star hotel in Auckland’s Viaduct.
