Individuals ages 55 and older work with kids in Shore Up’s Early Head Start and Head Start Programs and in public schools, helping them with school readiness skills. AVERY COUNTY — The new Avery County mobile vaccination clinic will make its first stop out in the community this week by setting up at Riverside Elementary from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 20, for individuals 65 years of age and older to receive their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
