The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has declassified footage of its £10-per-shot military laser weapon called DragonFire destroying a drone.
The UK in January successfully tested a high-power laser weapon against an aerial target for the first time in a trial. The tests were aimed at paving the way for a low-cost alternative to missiles to shoot down targets like drones. The weapon named DragonFire is precise to such an extent that it can hit a £1 coin from a kilometre away, according to the UK defence ministry.
