A 25-year-old Pikangikum, Ont., resident has been criminally charged in connection to an August 2020 drowning incident where a two-year-old child died.

OPP report the child died in August of last year in Pikangikum from what was thought to be a possible drowning. After an investigation police say 25-year-old Helen Fiddler of Pikangikum has been charged with criminal negligence causing death, abandoning a child, and failing to provide the necessities of life.
