NORWELL — Interviews of Norwell police chief candidates could happen as early as this week after three finalists were chosen to fill the spot left by Ted Ross, who retired after 33 years with the department. Two of the candidates are police chiefs in other towns; the third resigned from his position as chief in March. A Goldsboro man was cited for driving while impaired on Dec. 6 after a wreck, according to court and law enforcement reports. The incident took place at 9:52 p.m. in the J.H. Rose parking lot, according to the Greenville Police Department. Jordon Christopher Jackson, 22, of 1903 Carolina Circle, Goldsboro, was involved in a wreck. Details about the incident and a crash report were not available. He had red, glassy eyes and an odor of alcohol on his breath. His blood alcohol level was 0.21.
