guest: i would think of it. we just had a bipartisan season of cooperation the last couple of weeks, and i think it is disappointing that the first day the new majority is going to cast a vote to go back on its promise to reduce the deficit and the debt. the congressional budget office has said that the health care law reduces the deficit. if they change their opinion, maybe we should fix that law. but if they don t change their opinion, if they continue to say, as they have since last march, that the health care law reduces the deficit, i would challenge the new majority not to repeal the law because it will increase the deficit. congressman, the kaiser foundation has a new poll showing that 49 percent of the country says they would like the law to go away. now, in some of the freshman congress people s cases, they ran as their primary platform so they have an obligation to the constituents to put it out there. if 70 percent of your
passing it through congress was just one way to skin the cat. and what the president did on death panels is he told religious people across the country who actually thought that universal health care was a positive thing to pass congress, but they had big concerns over issues of life including end of life issues and he essentially told them he would take this section. it was section 1233 out of the house bill. and he did. but in a sleight of hand he turned around and on december 3rd, put it right back in law. so, that type of activity does not engender a lot of trust with the other side of aisle. so it will be . heated the next couple of months. a permanent budget, until we get a permanent budget. guest: there will be a real conversation about the size and scope of government and how much deficit spending the american people are willing to live with. and i think the election results
