BJP leader Amit Shah had said during a speech in Vijayapura that if people voted for the Congress in the May 10 assembly polls it would trigger communal riots in Karnataka.
In its complaint, the Congress party accused Amit Shah of making

The complaint, submitted at the High Grounds police station in Bengaluru, accused Amit Shah of delivering inflammatory remarks, inciting animosity and hostility, and defaming the opposition during a campaign.
