New CCS garden to have wide-ranging impact on local education

The garden is part of the school’s long-term project to enhance the learning experience of students by embracing agriculture and getting outside.
Shannon Leson of Leson’s Funeral Home volunteered his truck and trailer to haul manure to the school for the CCS garden project.
Mr. Nielson, CCS teacher, used his skills to design a digital sketch for the school’s proposed kitchen renovation. The new kitchen will include an industrial cleaning bay with dishwasher, one industrial oven with griddle top, the required venting equipment, four work bays for students that include a sink and conventional oven for each.
