More employment tribunal payouts secured by former Bury FC staff

CLAIM: Ryan Kidd, ex-Bury FC youth coach
FURTHER employment tribunal payouts have been secured by former Bury FC involving the beleaguered club.
Ex-youth team manager Ryan Kidd has been told he is entitled to a basic award of £3,937 and a compensatory award of £9,000 following a successful unfair dismissal claim.
Employment Judge Marion Batten also ruled an award of £3,513 should be made by The Bury Football Club Company Ltd to the former Preston defender for breach of contract.
And former youth team fitness coach Jamie Hesketh has also had a similar judgement entered in his favour.
Employment Judge Hilary Slater has determined Hesketh is entitled to £1,380 for unlawful deductions from wages in September 2019, and a redundancy payout of £2,625.

Petition launched to reverse cuts to flood equipment at Chippenham and Trowbridge

Fire service cuts prompt petition
A petition has been launched to save what fire fighters say is vital water rescue equipment being cut from stations in Chippenham and Trowbridge - to move it to Swindon and Dorset.
More than 250 people have already signed it, fearing the cuts will affect rescue operations in the River Avon area which has some of the biggest flood risks in Wiltshire.
The petition claims that members of the public will have to wait an hour to be rescued safely instead of eight minutes in the River Avon area because of the decision.
“This will put the lives at risk of people caught in flooding,” said Becky Montague who started the petition, and hopes to get 500 signatures to send to Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Authority to reverse the move.
