The Daily Herald The most anticipated outcome of the 2021 Spring Hill Election was which candidate would take the seat in Ward 3, the only contested race, over the next four years. The winner, after all the votes were tallied Thursday at City Hall, went to incumbent Kevin Gavigan, who received 1,477 votes over competitors Brent Murray, who garnered 439 votes, and Angela Privett, who drew 910 votes. Gavigan s platform, which he said goes back to his first term in 2015, has been about staying focused on getting the city s major road and infrastructure projects completed, including the upcoming Interstate 65 interchange at Buckner Road, as well as road widenings at Buckner Road and Buckner Lane. ....
