A 19-year-old Dalit woman was found shot dead in a well in Rajasthan, India. Her mother alleged that she was gang-raped and acid was thrown on her face. The incident has sparked protests and calls for justice and compensation for the victim s family. A three-member committee has been formed to investigate the incident.
The victim was a BA student, while her two sisters and a brother are all minors. Their father has been working as a labourer in Dubai for the last six years.
