China PMIC makers bearing the brunt as TI cuts price for market shares
Chinese media reported on May 30 that Texas Instrument, the leading analog chip maker, had lowered its chip prices in the China market in May. The media quoted a senior analog chip maker as saying that TI's price cut had no fixed rate of reduction or bottom line and that the company was trying to expand its market share in China by cutting prices before the full recovery of the semiconductor market.
