Dear reader, if you thought I was the most prepared for another of Yoweri Museveni’s crowning – because I have consistently argued here that this so-called election would be simply another enthronement – you are wrong.
I was the least prepared. I felt vulnerable more than ever. The long-winding queues of new voters, men and women arguably in their teens and early twenties, were a sight to behold.
The excitement and euphoria as Bobi Wine made his way to the polling station, threw his ballot into the box, did the cross, and then the celebratory fist made me forget my predictions of anot ....
