District home guard commandant Murali Mohan Choontharu visited Sasihithlu and Surathkal beaches to offer guidance and suggestions to Home Guards regarding flood rescue operations. Disaster management team comprising 70 Home Guards deployed across the district every year. Beach guards stationed at eight beaches from June to Sept to prevent loss of lives. Collaboration with police department and fire and emergency services for disaster management. Expert swimmers and divers identified for emergency rescue operations.
