The Savannah Regional Secretary of the NPP, Mr Haruna Iddrisu has described a petition against his desire to be the MCE for the East Gonja Municipality as empty, shallow and without merit in any form or shape and has asked that it be treated with contempt and disdain. The petitioner had alleged that Mr Haruna Iddrisu spent Ghc50,000 meant for the NPP Pcs for the Salaga North constituency and the the Daboya/Mankarigu constituency just before the 2020 Presidential and Parliamentary elections. But reacting to the petition which found its way in the media, Mr Haruna Iddrisu stated emphatically that whatever monies were meant for the two Pcs got to them in full and at the time of the receipt of the money they spoke with lawyer Abu Jinapo MP for the Damongo constituency (The Donor) to acknowledged receipt of exact amount. ....
