ST. JOHNSBURY — Vermont State Police say a woman found shot dead in St. Johnsbury is a Barre and Williamstown resident.
Fernando Reyes-Lara, who was 18 at the time of the shooting, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and two counts of aggravated robbery.
A woman will spend life in prison for the 2022 shooting death of her boyfriend.
Opening arguments were set to begin Tuesday, but a prosecutor fell ill, and defense attorneys said witnesses were unavailable if the trial were to be pushed back this week.
The shooting took place July 5, 2022 in Sinclairville.
