Upper Ottawa Valley OPP Festive R.I.D.E. Program – week three results
The Upper Ottawa Valley detachment continues to conduct R.I.D.E. checks as part of the Festive R.I.D.E. Program. During the third week of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) 2020 Festive R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) campaign from Dec. 5 to 11, officers from the UOV OPP conducted 39 R.I.D.E. checks throughout the detachment area. Â No impaired driving or over 80 charges were reported as a result of the RIDE campaign. Charges continue to be laid outside of these R.I.D.E. checks, however.
