There were several moments i don t know how close the tornado came, but the rain was horizontal, the signs were blowing around. it was pretty tense. i read there was as many as 1200 people in the airport at the time. does that seem right to you? yeah, they were pretty close. that tunnel was pretty packed. it s just torrential downpour right now. it hasn t stopped coming down for three hours right now. when we were in the parking garage, coming up, it was all flooding in the first floor. are you trying to get out of there? i m trying to get to new york city, which isn t going to happen. do you know what you re going to do? it seems like police are saying stay off the road, there s flooding in a lot of areas. ....

They go to the mall, especially during graduation. that s a new term, don. debris ball is a very new term. it s because we have dual pole doppler radar. we used to have doppler radar that would see in one direction. we actually have the wavelengths going in two opposite directions. up and down, the horizontal and also on the vertical. therefore we can term whdetermi we see on radar is not a rain drop. it might be a shingle, could be a leaf, could be a tree limb. it might be any part of a house. the radar knows the size of the stuff and it s saying, the information, this is not a raindrop. this is debris. the only way debris gets in the sky is if it gets picked up by a tornado. so you ll hear that word debris ball from now on. it s a new term. kind of like we lost the word squall line. we picked up the word debris ball. a tornado is on the ground creating damage. okay. we re hearing now the mall may ....
