Darren Jacques was halfway through a 42-month driving ban - for drink-driving - when five-year-old Layton Darwood fell off his trailer and suffered fatal injuries.
A MAN serving a ban from the roads has been found guilty of causing the death of a young child while disqualified from driving.
CCTV showed Darren Jacques, 40, dashing into the shop after parking his Ford Transit Tipper on a kerb in Willow Avenue, Fenham, Newcastle. He can be seen grabbing a bottle of booze.
