own backyard. while we are creating hybrid seeds, we have lost over 14,900 variety of apples in the u.s. that is in the last 100 years. 100 years ago, there were more than 15,000 apple varieties here in our country. now, 11. not 1,000. 1 not 11,000, 11 w up on supermarket shelves. from 15,000 to 11. that s change in climate of a basic food item but nobody seems to care. raise temperature by .7-degrees in the same 100 years and the sky is falling. shut down industry. destroy the combustion engine. stop capitalism. another weird occurrence is the bees. the bees are dying out. four species of bees have been wiped out in the past 20 years. nobody knows why. i don t have any idea. maybe we are messing with mother nature. i have no idea. nobody knows.
