"A group of 14 Indian evacuees departs from Jeddah onboard a flight for Mumbai," Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said in a tweet.
The 21st batch of 137 Indians, who were stranded in Sudan, arrived in Jeddah from Port Sudan in an IAF C-130J aircraft on Wednesday.
"22nd batch of evacuees leaves Port Sudan. 135 passengers are flying to Jeddah onboard IAF C-130J aircraft," Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi tweeted on Thursday.
"20th batch of evacuees arrives in Jeddah from Port Sudan. IAF C-130J flight brings 116 evacuees," the Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia said in the statement.
Nearly 3000 people have been evacuated from Sudan under Operation Kaveri as battles continue in the African nation. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has set up control rooms and transit camps in Port Sudan and Jeddah to bring back Indian citizens safely.
