A 75-year-old man identified as Mr Olu Idika has been accused of defiling a seven years old girl and her friends in Ikhin Community in the Owan East local government area of Edo State. According to reports, Idika was apprehended last Wednesday at his home in Ikhin after being caught in the act and taken to Otuo police station. But he was released on bail on Friday. A few moments after his release, he was beaten up by some aggrieved residents of the community until the police arrived to pick him up because the child's mother had gone to report at the station.
