Jagdeep Dhankhar, the Vice President of India will visit Teheran to attend the funeral of late Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, his foreign minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian and other officials who were killed in a helicopter crash, said the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Tuesday.

Iran's search operation for the crashed helicopter carrying President Ebrahim Raisi intensified, with the Iran Red Crescent and IRGC chief Major General Hossein Salami on-site in East Azerbaijan. The helicopter, which made a "hard landing," carried Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and other officials. Several countries, including Russia and Turkey, have sent rescue teams and equipment to assist. The EU activated its rapid response mapping service, while Iran expressed gratitude for international support in the search and rescue efforts.

Moreover, Major General Hossein Salami, the chief commander of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), has also travelled to the area in the northwestern province of East Azerbaijan, where a helicopter carrying the Iranian President was reported to have suffered a 'hard landing'
