The former Secretary General who succeeds the role from Reverend Epineri Vakadewavosa was unanimously picked by members of the Church s standing committee. Reverend Vakadewavosa had his term extended last year as the Church could not hold its annual conference to elect a leader due to the coronavirus pandemic. Secretary for Communications Wilfred Regunamada said they had carried out an election as Reverend Vakadewavosa has surpassed the retirement age of the leadership role.
