(The Center Square) – An Arizona man was sentenced to 1.5 years in prison for illegally casting a vote in the 2020 presidential election.
The governor's Democratic opponents call the crackdown "intimidation" and voter "suppression."
On August 18, FDLE agents arrested 17 people who voted illegally in the 2020 election, including six people from Hillsborough County.
"Why is he spending millions to alter the system, including making it harder for people to vote?" Crist said. "This is about playing politics, intimidating Democratic voters, and his desire to run for president, not securing elections."
