Bengaluru is emerging as a key player in warehousing landscape. In the first half of the fiscal year 2024, Bengaluru has emerged as a key player in India’s warehousing sector, contributing significantly to the overall market dynamics. According to Knight Frank India’s latest report, Bengaluru saw robust warehousing transactions, reaching 3.27 million sq ft during this period.
The flyover aims to facilitate a smooth flow of traffic for vehicles on ORR, reducing congestion and waiting times significantly on the Kanakapura Road side. Notably, this flyover will also integrate with a Metro line. While the Metro piers stand at a height of 13.5 metres, the proposed flyover will be at a height of 5.5 metres from the ground level.
According to DCP traffic south, in the last couple of months, certain areas like 5th Main Road, Chamrajpet, 7th Cross Road, Hanumanthnagar, JP Nagar Underpass, Ilyas Nagar, KS Layout Ring Road, were identified as hotspots for wheeleing. Many of the youngsters would take videos to post it on their social media accounts, making it easy for the police to trace them.
Karnataka government has decided to get four more flyovers for Bengaluru, including one in the heart of the city at a cost of Rs 404 crore. The funds have been allocated from government’s Amruth Nagarothana scheme.
