WASHINGTON, N.C. This summer, Beaufort County Community College will offer in-person Summer Enrichment Programs for Kids and Teens on campus. The classes offer a variety of experiences- including technology, cooking, makeup, theatre, arts and outdoor safety for youth of varying ages. To make the programs accessible to more families, BCCC will offer one free class to every child. Parents will need to apply for a scholarship to take advantage of this offer. Flower Pot Bread Baking Rachel Jordan of Rachel K s Bakery will lead this program for rising 6th graders through rising 9th graders. They will learn about yeast breads and make them in flower pots. Students will take their flower pots home to continue making good bread for their families. This $45 program will take place on June 29 at 5:30 p.m. ....
