Dawson BOC to discuss sheriff’s office staffing, emergency plans and SPLOST VII on Thursday
The Dawson County Board of Commissioners has a packed agenda ahead of them for the work and voting sessions scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 4, with discussions and presentations scheduled on a range of topics. 
First on the commissioner’s agenda for Thursday afternoon’s work session is a presentation from Dawson County Sheriff Jeff Johnson requesting additional staffing for the sheriff’s office. 
During the work session, commissioners will also hear a presentation from Dawson County Fire Chief and EMA Director Danny Thompson on an update to the local emergency operations plan, and from Dawson County Purchasing Manager Melissa Hawk on an amendment to the county purchasing policy ordinance. ....
