Scenes, basically undermining everything they ve tried to do. is this going to cause some real friction between justice and this white house? well, i don t think we know at this point. i think it remains to be seen, if obama does come out and make the announcement, then, yes, it will obviously be interpreted as a reversal the president s going to make the announcement, not the attorney general? the two of them or the white house or some combination. but there s no doubt now, the president himself said in an interview earlier this year that he s the one making the decision now. i think there s no question it undercuts the justice department, but on the other hand, is it the justice department s job to do the politics of this? was eric holder supposed to be lobbying congress and going to new york? so i think there maybe needed to be some greater white house involvement from the outset. and it puts him in a potentially funny position. because, of course, when they re defending e ....

Phenomenon in politics. it really is. the federal government says you have to have safety rules at the workplace. i thought we settled all this stuff. you can t settle things at housing and hotels. you can t say no blacks. do you believe state states should make those decisions? those decisions. i think there are lots of decisions no, that those are fundamental decisions about who we are as a decision. i have no problem with those decisions. i think a lot of states rights that i m watching on television would like to go back to pre 64. states like alabama and mississippi decide how they want to run their states. and i keep hearing what joan hears. and i hear a racial ting to it pop i have talked to thousands of tea partygoers and leaders. and i have never, ever heard nick like that. it s implicit. i hope i m wrong.3q> ....

Really pushing them to excel at a measure we re not measuring right now. steve? we ve used the subjective measures to no avail. the economy and the colleges have spoken, and they are saying that the students that are coming out are not prepared, so we ve already tried the subjective, touchy feeley, are your students engaged approaches. we need hardcore evidence to prove that teachers, whose job it is to teach, implicit in that is children learn, are measured based upon that which they do. teachers and principals. we all should be measured based upon the product. and our product is an educated person. we ve been doing and we ve been steve, we ve been trying to do digging into this and trying to get smarter about this. i looked at one study from the university of arkansas in 2007 where teachers were given performance pay in the little rock school district, the conclusion they came to was that merit pay does increase academic proficiency. we ve taken two examples, ....

Sam? listen, again, these are two guys that were part of a republican congress that ran up record deficits and record debts over the past eight years. i don t like the president s budget. but if i go out there s a senator, sam stein, and i m going to say no, no, no, sea of red ink and all of that, then i want to see the plan. what s the republican plan? i don t like $3.8 trillion. let s get a republican budget that s $3.2 trillion. yeah. well, okay, two points on this. first is on msnbc yesterday, the top economic adviser to john mccain s presidential campaign, acknowledged that even if mccain were president, we would be having record high deficits right now. implicit in that is the recognition that, you know, the budget was run amok basically during the bush administration and now we have to fix it. now, he said mccain would be doing a better job than obama, but i think that s a pretty significant admission. as to your point, republicans don t really have an incentive to come out ....
