Rain has fallen. since we got out here earlier this morning, we have been keeping our eye on the waves behind us. they have been dramatic, no doubt about it. they have gone up to probably about the midway point of that pier, maybe 15, 20 feet, earlier i was talking to local resident, he said he saw it as high as the walkway. there say red flag warning on the beach. this rain is starting to pick up here. in some spots they're expecting 4, 8 inches of rain, isolated spots 12 inches. landfall for subtropical storm alberto is not supposed to make landfall here until later this afternoon. but just ...
