Nigerian Army Conducts Final Disposal Of Unexploded Bombs In Ikeja Cantonment Blast Since 2002
The Nigerian Army has said it will conduct a final disposal of several unexploded bombs recovered from the ill-fated Ikeja Cantonment Bomb blasts of 2002 on Saturday. This was disclosed in a statement released by Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, the Director, Army Public Relations, on Thursday. The statement mentioned further that the exercise which started on 10 October 2023 has led to the recovery of various calibres of unexploded ordnance out of which 642 of them were professionally disposed on 27 October 2023 at the NA Range in Owode, Ajilete, Ogun State.
