New Zealand s Covid-19 forced lockdown and the subsequent weeks will not be included in tomorrow s all-important Child Poverty report, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern this afternoon confirmed.

Crudia zeylanica: Powers vested in Devani Jayathilaka discussed

There are various opinions regarding the intervention of Gampaha District Forest Officer Devani Jayathilaka to protect the plant which has been identified as the oldest surviving Crudia zeylanica plant in the world.
Some accused her of trying to emerge in an unwarranted manner without realizing her powers. Minister C.B. Mr. Ratnayake had also stated in Parliament.
Did Devani Jayathilaka go beyond the limits of her powers?

Chandigarh, Feb 10 (IANS) Online availability of cheap herbal cigarettes and bidis which are being illegally marketed as healthier alternatives to traditional cigarettes is a matter of concern, warn researchers from the Oral Health Sciences Centre of the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) here.
