How NRI parents can make their children accept India as part of their identity
It is common for children to consider anything they do not encounter regularly in their quotidian lives as weird or alien. More so if they happen to be born in and growing up in places other than the homeland of their parents or grandparents. It is then up to their elders to orient and acquaint them with their heritage and culture in an organic manner, so that they as second and third generation migrants-often biracial-have open minds towards unfamiliar customs and practices.
