Unlocking agricultural transformations for small and marginal farmers in Uttar Pradesh, India
Uttar Pradesh, India’s most populous state, leads the nation in terms of agricultural production, yet average farmer incomes are low because of smaller land holdings and lower levels of technology adoption. A newly launched initiative, the UP Accelerator PRAGATI, aims to improve water-use efficiency and improve farm mechanization to make UP a global leader in sustainable agriculture within the next five years.
