75th Independence Day LIVE Updates: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressing the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort for the 75th Indian Independence Day. PM Modi spoke about India's Gati Shakti master plan to give a holistic push to India's growth. PM Narendra Modi also announced that the sainik schools will now be opened for the girls. This year, PM Modi was joined by India’s latest batch of Olympians who won medals in the Tokyo Olympics, including Neeraj Chopra, who won the gold medal in javelin throw. PM Modi visited Rajghat and also received the guard of honour at Red Fort. Security has been ramped up across Delhi and Red Fort for the mega Independence Day event on Sunday while security forces across the country have been put on high alert around the vital installations. The borders around Delhi have also been sealed by the multi-layered security ring. Around 5,000 security personnel have been deployed at the Red Fort today.
