રાજ્ય સરકાર અને સત્તાધીશો દ્વારા હાથ ધરાયેલ વેકસીનેશન મહાભિયાનનો ફિયાસ્કો થયો છે અને વેક્સીન લેવા આવનાર મોટાભાગના લોકોને ધરમ ધક્કાનો સિલસિલો જારી રહ્યો છે. રાજ્ય સરકારે ૨૫ હજાર વેક્સીનનો જથ્થો ફાળવ્યો હોવાથી શનિવારે AMCદ્વારા ૩૧૨૩૨લોકોને જ વેક્સીન અપાઈ હતી. જ્યારે ૫૯૪ સુપર સ્પ્રેડરને વેક્સીન અપાઈ હતી. સરકાર તરફથી શનિવાર માટે ફક્ત ૨૫ હજાર વેક્સીન મળી હોવાથી ઘણાં લોકોને વેક્સીનથી વંચિત રહેવું પડયું હતું. દરરોજ એક લાખ લોકોને વેક્સીનેશન આપવાની ઝૂંબેશનું સૂરસૂરિયું થઈ ગયું છે.
શનિવારે AMC દ્વારા ફક્ત અર્બન હેલ્થ સેન્ટર, અને કેટલાંક કોમ્યુનિટી હોલ સિવાય સ્કુલો તેમજ અન્ય સ્થળે વેક્સીન આપવાની કામગીરી બંધ હતી. શનિવારે AMC દ્વારા ૩૧૨૩૨ લોકોને જ વેક્સીન અપાઈ હતી. કેટલાંક અર્બન હેલ્થ સેન્ટરમાં વેક્સીનના માંડ ૫૦ ડોઝ આપવામાં આવ્યા હોવાથી કેટલીક જગ્યાએ’આજે વેક્સીનેશન બંધ છે’ના બોર્ડ લગાવાયા હોવાથી વેક્સીન લેવા આવેલા લોકોને ધરમ ધક્કા પડયા હતા.
શહેરના સરદારનગર, બાપુનગર, ઈન્ડિયા કોલોની, ચાંદખેડા, સાબરમતી, નારણપુરા, ઘાટલોડિયા, વસ્ત્રાલ, લાંભા, વટવા, વેજલપુર, વસ્ત્રાપુર, બોપલ- આંબલી, મેમનગર, કુબેરનગર નરોડા, સરદારનગર સહિત મોટાભાગના વિસ્તારોમાં સેન્ટરોમાં ‘વેક્સીન ન હોવાથી સેન્ટર બંધ’ હોવાના પાટિયાં લગાવવા પડયા હતા.
