Several Indian businessmen and expats said that at the moment, they consider any individual support as ‘a drop in the ocean’.
Heartbroken over the Covid-19 situation back home, Indian expats are ready to help but they are not sure how to do so. Considering that the urgent need is oxygen supply, many are clueless about where to get it and how to send it home.
India is facing a massive surge in cases, with many of its hospitals reporting shortage of oxygen. The country recorded 320,000 new infections on Tuesday, and total deaths are nearing 200,000. Expats have expressed their gratitude towards the government of the UAE for supplying oxygen containers during this time of need. ....

DUBAI: Indian missions in the UAE have warned job aspirants to be wary of fake employment agents, who have again started to target unsuspecting persons after a brief break due to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a media report on Thursday.
Concerned that few unscrupulous agents are exploiting our citizens and putting them at risk abroad. Recruiting agents must act responsibly or will be held accountable, Sanjay Bhattacharyya, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Secretary, tweeted earlier in the week. ....

Dubai: Indian missions in the UAE have urged jobseekers to report fake agents who are back in action post peak months of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The call from the missions follows a top Indian official’s warning against recruitment agents putting Indians at risk abroad.
Sanjay Bhattacharyya, secretary to the government of India in the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), this week raised concerns about “unscrupulous agents exploiting Indian citizens and putting them at risk abroad.”
In a tweet posted on his personal Twitter account, the secretary called upon Recruiting Agents (RAs) to act responsibly or else they will be held accountable. ....
