KATHMANDU, Feb 8: Start-ups will be entitled to receive subsidized loans of up to Rs 2.5 million at just three percent interest per annum from Wednesday, following the government’s decision to implement the 'Start-up Enterprises Credit Operation Working Procedure 2023' with immediate effect.

As per the working procedure, loans of up to Rs2.5 million will be provided to the start-ups at 3 percent annual interest.

Rs250 million had been pledged for the programme in the last fiscal year, but the government did not provide the money. The scheme has been continued this fiscal year too.
