The city announced the selection of a new site for Indianapoliss animal shelter, after a previous location required more environmental clean-up.
The not-for-profit has already reached 95% of its fundraising campaign's $7 million goal for the $37 million project, which is now set to be built at 5001 E. Raymond St.
Funding for the facility includes a $19 million bond approved by the City-County Council. Friends of Indy Animals already has raised money.
