Young black children are killed by other young black children. nobody pays any attention to it. no politicians scream and yell about it. it s sad to me. as i said, there s a lot of other individuals and those homeless individuals that lost their lives hahn the subway, they are somebody s daughter or sister or family member as well. in this case, because of the circumstances, you re going to see everybody all over this case. this is lenin edwards, the neely family attorney earlier today. watch this. how is someone allowed to be on the subway in new york city and be assaulted for 15 minutes straight and never receive any help? never receive any assistance? the mta needs to answer for that. martha: leo, your thoughts on that. this is a classic new york city is run by a black mayor. so the inference that the services are not being provided ....

Crowd was embedded. so, we could ve taken, maybe the wrong inference from that crowd? maybe, maybe? or maybe it was exactly what we saw which was that none of these guys have debt. but what i remember, what santa said tonight was that nothing to take a harder stance on guns? yes how about saying, you lied a lot and how about just saying, because that s what i think. anybody who thought he in 16, they all thought he doesn t have a chance, and i want to be second, right? this is early on, in the nominating process. so, i m not going to criticize him, i want to inherit his people. now, and so the only people who are attacking him are ....

He made statements that further the narrative of the plaintiff. i m sure played badly to this jury. i m not too sure you can blame this on the attorney. he had a limited range of movement because he didn t have the option to have the client there. the other thing is that not having your client in the courtroom can be viewed as something of affront to the jury. you re asking the jury to go to bat for your client. they can raise a negative inference. you need to care about my client and his rights. when the client doesn t show up in the courtroom, the jury can sort of shrug and said he didn t seem to care enough to be here. that is part of the dynamic you wrestle with as an attorney of how those optics will play with the jury. martha: one of the other things that the former president stressed in his defense is that she wasn t his type. that he would not have been ....

What they ultimately weighed in terms of damages. i think that looking at how this played out, a lot of it is predictable. as we started out before the verdict, my biggest concern, if i was on the defense side is that trump didn t appear and they could draw a negative inference. the fact that you had such a fast verdict seemed to reflect that. the problem going forward for trump is that all of the factual parts of this verdict are iron plated for appeal. so when the court of appeals looks at it, they don t just judge the facts on their own. they look at whether the jury had any basis for the facts. they had a lot of witnesses, a lot of evidence to base these numbers on and also to base their conclusions on. the only way for president trump to try to reverse this is to argue that the trial was invalid because of the judge, because ....
