AUGUSTA – Attorney General Aaron Frey announced today that Maine, along with a coalition of other attorneys general, has obtained two multistate settlements with Experian concerning data breaches it experienced in 2012 and 2015 that compromised the personal information of millions of consumers nationwide.
The state of Hawaiʻi will receive a six-figure sum as part of a multistate settlement with Experian and T-Mobile over data breaches. The breach impacted over 15 million people who submitted credit applications with T-Mobile.
