Malaita Farmers Supported With Essential Agricultural Tools & Materials

More than 40 farmers in Malaita province has received
boosting assistance of agricultural tools and materials from
the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAL) under its
Sustainable Economic Growth and Export Strengthening (SEGES)
programme last month 25th March 2021.
These are
projects that farmers applied for in 2020 under MAL SEGES
programme, a Medium Term Development Programme (MTDP) of the
ministry (MAL) which is being implemented from 2020 to
2024.

happy and acknowledged MAL for the support.

Great Lakes Region 'on The Right Track' To Tackling Political And Other Challenges

Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic,
countries in Africa’s Great Lakes region are “on the
right track”, with leaders pushing forward on political,
security and economic cooperation, UN Special Envoy Huang
Xia told the Security Council on
Monday.
Governments and people across the 13
nations continue to show resilience and determination in the
face of the global crisis, he said, while congratulating
those which have begun vaccinations through the global
solidarity initiative, COVAX.

vaccination campaigns have so far allowed for just over a

University Partners With QS To Support Equitable Access To Education Internationally

Educators and data scientists will discuss the best
opportunities for building a more equitable education system
to improve access for under-represented groups at a summit
hosted by the University of Auckland, in partnership with QS
(Quacquarelli Symonds).
The EduData Summit (EDS), the
world’s premium forum for data-driven educators, runs from
8-11 June and aims to quantify the extent to which educators
and students experience barriers in improving education

across Somalia, said on Sunday that they were highly
