Enter the rocket, so it has to deploy, and this will take 29 days to be done really perfectly, like a surgical operation. think about it, just like the sun shield, done by 100 little pieces of operation that have to be done to the millimetre, perfect. in order to make it a great telescope. the mirrors have to align, the instrument has to cool down, they have to arrive to 34 kelvin in order to work perfectly in the infrared. this will take a few months, probably in operation in three of four months. so months, probably in operation in three of four months. months, probably in operation in three of four months. so we will be atient, three of four months. so we will be patient. but three of four months. so we will be patient. but it three of four months. so we will be patient, but it is three of four months. so we will be patient, but it is very three of four months. so we will be patient, but it is very exciting, - patient, but it is very exciting, and ijust wonder, what might ....

So, this telescope looks at the cosmos in the infrared. we need to look at infrared because the light coming from the most distant stars in the universe comes to us at infrared wavelengths and the thing infrared wavelengths and the thing infrared is that it is heat energy and when you have a telescope big with a mirror that is six and a half metres across and super sensitive instruments, then you can spot very small amounts of heat energy in a very long way away and so if you are to have a bumblebee moving around on the moon, then webb would be able to spot out. it is that sensitive, it has a kind of resolution. so when they talk about it being a successor to hubble, which is an amazing thing is over the last 30 years, webb is something else, it certainly is, it is kind of magical. we hope it works, we really want to get past ....

In the history of humanity, how much that changed. it saw alien planets that we had never seen, it showed us black holes. hubble just literally every marvel movie you see that you see with a scene in space, they are using the hubble space telescope image. and james webb will do the same thing but it is 100 times more powerful. so it will rewire our understanding of the universe. it is mind-blowing. so you say it is 100 times more powerful than hubble and to sees in infrared. what does that mean for people using these images? there are two things. infrared light is light that is longer than the wave lengths of light that our eyes are sensitive to. and for astronomers, that is important because it allows us to see very far back, literally when the universe was a teeny tiny baby. and so much about how we went ....
