Great outcome for Tasmania on IA Priority List with record infrastructure investment leading our recovery

Michael Ferguson,Minister for Infrastructure and Transport Tasmania’s post-COVID recovery and economic future continues to build with the latest Tasmanian Infrastructure Pipeline forecasting $17.4 billion in planned public economic and social infrastructure investment over the next 10 years. The Tasmanian Infrastructure Pipeline maps out the longer-term plans for the provision or upgrading of important public building projects including roads, schools, hospitals, bridges and irrigation networks. This includes our unprecedented $5 billion infrastructure program across the next four years that will support around 25,000 jobs, meaning more income for Tasmanian families, and more money in our local communities. This year’s pipeline also includes the $401 million 2020-21 Federal Budget investment in Tasmania’s roads and the additional $34.3 million Australian Government COVID-19 stimulus investment in shovel-ready infrastructure projects, road safety upgrades and state road netw
